Y. F. L.Me encantó mi estancia en Nativa Apartamentos Boutique Hotel. Era un verdadero hogar lejos del hogar. Era tranquilo pero estaba a pocos pasos del bullicio de Iquitos. Las habitaciones eran espaciosas, limpias y muy cómodas, con una preciosa cocina y comedor y un cuarto de baño con ducha. Mónica era la encantadora dama a cargo. Ella era cálida, amigable, conversadora y siempre muy servicial. Habla español e inglés (y probablemente también otros idiomas). Amigos míos que se hospedaban en un hotel Hilton prefirieron el espacio y la comodidad de Nativa y llevaron tarjetas de presentación para poder quedarse allí la próxima vez. Muy recomendado y perfecto también para mujeres viajeras. ¡Gracias Nativa!

Super quiet. Good A/C. HOT water. Extremely friendly and fully English speaking owner receptionist. All the rooms have windows. There is a communal courtyard to hang out. You can have full use of the kitchen. The rooms have a fridge and lots of space.
The WiFi is the same as everywhere else.

Most people are afraid to visit the Amazon because of how wild they hear it is. The truth is that some parts of the jungle really are pretty wild, but Iquitos is a city of 600,000 people and is actually the largest city in the world that can't be reached by road. That said, it's a pretty developed place and is very safe to visit. The problem is that as a foreigner, a lot of people are going to try to take advantage of you. but, if you've got someone to show you the ropes, you'll be perfectly safe AND you'll see what is easily one of the most beautiful places in the world.
That being said, Monica Del Pilar Araujo is the person there who you can trust and her hotel -- Nativa Apartments Boutique Hotel -- is easily the best place to stay in the city. The apartments are clean and beautiful, and both she and those who work there are kind and helpful. I made friends with everyone there, including Juana Torres Silva and met a lot of awesome residents as well.
In all seriousness, visit Iquitos. Go see the Amazon River and see dolphins jumping in and out of it. Meet a shaman. A real one. Go see jungle trees that are 150 feet tall. Experience a lifestyle completely different than yours. It will change your life. And the best way to that safely is to stay at Nativa Apartments. I knew absolutely nothing about Iquitos except for what Monica told me, and thanks to her guidance and the connections I made, I navigated a whole different part of the world and had experiences I'll never forget.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a fridge and microwave. Nativa is about five minutes walk from the main plaza and another couple of blocks to the Malecon on the waterfront.

Los precios son justos para lo que se ofrece (duchas limpias y calientes, baños limpios y que funcionan, camas cómodas, habitaciones limpias y espaciosas, aire acondicionado, nevera, microondas y otras comodidades). Se preocupan por el medio ambiente y piden a las personas que apaguen las cosas cuando no las usan (aunque no es un requisito).
